Are you smarter than a 5th (kinder) grader?

So we all think we’re better communicators as we age. We learn sophisticated words, impossible to pronounce words, better jargon. Some become philosophers, great thinkers, CEO’s etc. But there is ONE thing that all of us still cannot learn!
For instance, I could not tell from ginger and garlic. Even today I have to take a moment to recognize them. I have problem pronouncing ‘plural’ at the spur of the moment.
In college days one of my friend found it v. difficult to tell the difference between ‘their’ and ‘they’re’.
My superior at work came asking us the difference between ‘ascending’ and ‘descending’.
Isn’t it funny no matter what age, profession, level every one of us have those small hiccup in us?

What’s yours?
